Our Team
Steve Rubin
Born and raised in Chicago, I grew up with Midwestern values which have served me well In college I studied Marketing, Management and Psychology. I received my master’s degree in all three of those subjects. Frankly, of those, what has helped me most in business is Psychology. It has helped me to understand human nature. I apply Psychology while working with every client.
Career
After completing my Master’s program, I embarked on a professional journey that has been both challenging and rewarding. My first job was in management at a national retail chain. Shortly thereafter, I began work as a security industry consultant and then built a National Central Station in the Security Industry, Security Associates, International (SAI). This role provided me with a solid foundation in industry, and I quickly realized this was my calling. I also built and sold my own security installation and monitoring company.
SAI was sold to COPS Monitoring, and the next phase of my career began. In 1999 Davis Mergers & Acquisitions Group, a brokerage company in the security industry, was established with the goal of helping sellers to package their company properly for sale and then matching them with the perfect buyer.
I found my niche in this specialized area within the security industry. My work in industry mergers and acquisitions has been incredibly fulfilling and has allowed me to utilize both my educational and business background to help complete over three hundred successful buy/sell transactions. I like strategizing to bring buyers and sellers together. Over the years, I have received several accolades for my contributions, and I am proud of the impact I have made in this industry.
Personal Life
Outside of my professional endeavors, I’ve had a rich personal life. I’ve run 25 marathons. Love to stay in shape. Go for long walks and enjoy spending quality time with my wife of 53 years, Shelley, son, daughter in law and three grandkids. We’ve traveled both nationally and internationally and enjoy learning about new cultures and landscapes.
I also have a passion for art. We have collected art from all over the world. I love learning about artists and how they came to create their masterpieces. This artistic outlet provides me with a sense of balance and fulfillment, complementing my work.
Community and Giving Back
Giving back to the community has always been important to me. I have donated to and worked with various organizations over the years. These experiences have been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to make a positive difference in the lives of others. I believe that we all have a responsibility to support and uplift our communities, and I strive to do my part.
Kelly Bond
I am a native Texan. Although I have been fortunate to live and work in several different places in the US, Texas is definitely home.
Career
I have enjoyed a wonderful career in the electronic security industry for over 27 years.
Prior to becoming a co-founder of Bridgepoint Advisors LLC, I have spent the last several years working with Davis Mergers and Acquisitions Group as an advisor to both buyers and sellers of security businesses. I’m passionate about collaborating with clients to help them achieve their goals.
Preceding my time with DMAG, I had an unexpected but pivotal role in my career as VP of Dealer Development with Brivo, a software-as-a-service company providing cloud-based access control. At Brivo, I worked with Integrator partners in growing their businesses through programs specialized to generate Recurring Monthly Revenue (one of my favorite things). My time spent at Brivo was a valuable stop as it gave me an important grasp on the Integration world.
Before Brivo, to I spent well over a decade as Senior Vice President of Business Development at Alarm Capital Alliance (ACA/My Alarm Center) where I was responsible for increasing company growth through acquisition and driving the overall business-to-business development strategy. This role led me to the work I do today.
I have been honored during my time in the industry as an inductee of the 2023 SIA Women In Security Forum Power 100, was the 2016 recipient of the Sara E Jackson Memorial Award and was a 2024 inductee to the SSI Security Hall of Fame.
Personal Life
I am very fortunate to have a wonderful family! My husband and best friend, Ryan, and I have three great kids and a wonderful son-in-law and daughter-in-law. All of us are very active and love sports. Tennis is my favorite hobby, and I am thankful for my time on the courts!
Community and Giving Back
Shortly after joining the industry, I made a commitment to the industry to give back through volunteering. I served on the Steering and Nominations committees of SIA’s Women In Security Forum (WISF). I am celebrating 15 years as the National Scholarship Task Force Chair for the Electronic Security Association (ESA). I am honored to be a part of ESA’s Leadership Identification and Nominating Committee (LINC).
I make it a priority to regularly volunteer in various ways around my local community as well.

Early years
I grew up in Texarkana, Texas and had an active childhood full of hunting, fishing, and various sports. I eventually focused solely on golf and was awarded a scholarship to Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. I finished my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University in Texarkana in 1991. After graduating college, I entered the golf business as an Assistant Professional with the PGA of America which brought me to Dallas, Texas in 1993 where I still live today.
Career
I began my career in the security industry in 1998 when I joined Financial Security Services (FSS); which was an asset-based lender to alarm companies. I spent seven years as Director of Business Development working with dozens of alarm companies to procure loans for sales growth, capital expansion, and acquisitions. When FSS was sold in 2005 I joined Alarm Capital Alliance (later known as My Alarm Center); as VP of Business Development. I was a part of the team that grew ACA from a regional account buyer to a national company located in twenty-eight states through Bulk Acquisitions and Dealer Program purchases. In 2021 I was promoted to Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and My Alarm Center merged with Alert 360. In my role as SVP of Acquisitions I was responsible for locating and closing acquisitions in the markets served by Alert 360 and My Alarm Center branches. In my nineteen-year career with My Alarm Center and Alert 360 I was responsible for over 100 closings with security and fire alarm companies all over the country.
After spending almost 27 years in the security industry, I am proud to now be one of the founders of Bridgepoint Advisors, along with co-founders Steve Rubin and Kelly Bond. I am excited about working with buyers and sellers in the Security Industry and using the knowledge and experience I have gained to help other people achieve their business and personal goals.
